CERB Extended

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced today that the Canada Emergency Response Benefit will be extended for an additional eight weeks for those still unable to work, providing $2000 per four week period.

Updated COVID-19 Patient Screening Guidance Document

The COVID-19 Patient Screening Guidance Document has recently been updated to only include whether the person has travelled outside of Canada as a screening question. Previously, the screening guidance included a question about whether the individual has travelled outside of Ontario , and also included a question about whether people in the individual’s household had traveled outside of Ontario.

Now, the screening guidance only indicates that you should ask the individual being screened whether they have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days.

New Workplace Safety Guide

Ontario Premier Doug Ford unveiled a new workplace safety guide that will help every employer develop a workplace safety plan as employees begin to get back to work. The downloadable plan will allow businesses to develop action plans for their own unique environments.

This guideline will allow businesses to confidently reopen following appropriate health and safety guidelines.
