Feedback Regarding Standards for Maintaining Professional Boundaries and Preventing Sexual Abuse

The RMTAO Board of Directors recently delivered a letter to the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) regarding the proposed new Standards for Maintaining Professional Boundaries and Preventing Sexual Abuse. The RMTAO Board of Directors had several concerns with the proposed standards, which are outlined in the letter.
The RMTAO and the CMTO communicate and work together frequently for the betterment of the massage therapy profession, and we believe that common ground will be reached that is fair and beneficial to the profession.
