Are you interested in offering a webinar with the RMTAO?
Do you have an idea for a webinar that would benefit the RMT community? Would you like to share your knowledge in a particular subject area? If so, the RMTAO invites you to collaborate with us by providing insights on best practices, trends, new ideas and developments to our community of experts.
Proposals can be submitted at any time for consideration. Proposals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and we will reach out to you within 30 days of your submission.
Webinar proposal topics must be specifically developed for RMTs. The core (majority) of the course content must be original and all developed course materials for the course must comply with all copyright requirements and include references where needed.
All proposals will be evaluated by the senior staff of the Association and by members of the Education Advisory Committee, where prudent teleconference meetings may be held at the discretion of the RMTAO to clarify the information provided in response to the RFP.
Revisions to webinar proposals may be requested based on content goals, other proposals submitted on similar topics, and its alignment with overall educational needs of the association.
- Provide the technology and infrastructure host the webinar
- Promote the webinar to its network
- Distribute all handouts to participants electronically
- Handle webinar registrations
- Handle payments for webinars
- Orientation and training/support of webinar platform (dry run)
- Moderate webinars, including adding participants and managing participant questions and concerns
Webinars will be scheduled at the discretion of the RMTAO, taking the presenter’s schedule into consideration, but webinars are more frequently held between Tuesday and Thursday between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
Please include the following information in your proposal submission.
Company background (provide your company’s role, mission, experience in the field).
- Title of the Webinar
Tip: keep it catchy and interesting to attract more attendees.
Provide a short description that includes the overall highlights and importance of the webinar content. This will be displayed on the RMTAO website for marketing purposes.
- Learning Outcomes
Provide 2-3 key learning takeaways the audience will learn from the webinar.
List any evidence-based research plans that details sources to support the course material. Example: journal articles, case studies, text books etc.
- Target Audience
New RMTs, seasoned RMTs, RMTs working with particular patient populations, RMTs working in particular environments, etc.
Provide speaker names along with short bios and a web link.
- Proposed Webinar Length
Recommended length is between 60-90 minutes (includes time for Q&A).
- Webinar Delivery Method
Note: Webinars conducted are one-way lecture-style sessions. All interactions with participants will be done via chat for Q&A and discussions.
- Webinar Attendance
Minimum capacity is 30, and the maximum capacity is 100 attendees. However, we recommend not keeping any restrictions on the capacity.

Minimum Technical Requirements
- Desktop or laptop with audio and video capabilities.
- Headphones or earphones with a microphone.
- Stable internet connection.
Webinar proposals are to be submitted electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org. All proposal submissions are subject to review by the Education Advisory Committee. Accepted submissions may be subjected to revisions based on content goals, other proposals submitted on similar topics, and its alignment with overall educational needs of the association. The presenter will be contacted when appropriate for such changes.
The RMTAO reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals or topics submitted for review.
All proposals submitted for review and all webinars presented by the RMTAO become the property of the RMTAO. The RMTAO reserves the right to distribute the webinar and webinar recordings as needed, including but not limited to future webinar re-runs of pre-recorded webinars and providing increased access to webinar recordings. It is the presenter’s responsibility to inform the RMTAO if the webinar has been previously offered through other organizations or if there are plans to offer it in the future. The presenter also agrees that it is his/her responsibility to ensure that they meet all technical requirements required for presenting a webinar.
