Request for Webinar Proposals

Are you interested in offering a webinar with the RMTAO?


Do you have an idea for a webinar that would benefit the RMT community? Would you like to share your knowledge in a particular subject area? If so, the RMTAO invites you to collaborate with us by providing insights on best practices, trends, new ideas and developments to our community of experts.


Overview

Proposals can be submitted at any time for consideration. Proposals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and we will reach out to you within 30 days of your submission.

Webinar proposal topics must be specifically developed for RMTs. The core (majority) of the course content must be original and all developed course materials for the course must comply with all copyright requirements and include references where needed.

All proposals will be evaluated by the senior staff of the Association and by members of the Education Advisory Committee.

Revisions to webinar proposals may be requested based on content goals, other proposals submitted on similar topics, and its alignment with overall educational needs of the association.


RMTAO’s Role

  • Provide the technology and infrastructure host the webinar
  • Promote the webinar to its network
  • Distribute all handouts to participants electronically
  • Handle webinar registrations
  • Handle payments for webinars
  • Orientation and training/support of webinar platform (dry run)
  • Moderate webinars, including adding participants and managing participant questions and concerns


Webinar Schedule

Webinars will be scheduled at the discretion of the RMTAO, taking the presenter’s schedule into consideration, but webinars are more frequently held between Tuesday and Thursday between 10:00am and 2:00pm ET.

Please include the following information in your proposal submission.


Contact Information:

     Full name, Email, Phone number


Presenter Information:

     Presenter background (provide your company’s role and mission, if applicable, and the presenter's experience in the field).


Webinar Details:
  1. Title of the Webinar
  2. Description
    Provide a description that includes the overall highlights and importance of the webinar content. This will be displayed on the RMTAO website for marketing purposes.
  3. Learning Outcomes
    Provide 3-4 key learning takeaways the audience will learn from the webinar.
  4. Research
    List all evidence-based research plans that details sources to support the course material. Example: journal articles, case studies, text books etc.
  5. Target Audience
    New RMTs, seasoned RMTs, RMTs working with particular patient populations, RMTs working in particular environments, etc.
  6. CMTO Competencies
    List the competencies the webinar will cover. Please refer to the CMTO career-span competencies: https://www.cmto.com/rmts/quality-assurance-program/strive/career-span-competencies/ 
  7. Presenter(s)
    Provide presenter name(s) along with short bios and a web link (if applicable).
  8. Proposed Webinar Length
    Recommended length is between 60-90 minutes (includes time for Q&A). 
  9. Webinar Delivery Method
    Content delivery style, audience engagement tactics, i.e. lecture-style presentation, case study discussions, opportunities for Q&A, etc).
  10. Additional Notes
    Please provide any additional information that will be helpful for us to know while considering your proposal.

Please note: Webinar maximum capacity is 95 attendees.


Minimum Technical Requirements

  • Desktop or laptop with audio and video capabilities.
  • Headphones or earphones with a microphone.
  • Stable internet connection.


Submission Policy

Webinar proposals are to be submitted electronically to hariti@rmtao.com. All proposal submissions are subject to review by the Education Advisory Committee. Accepted submissions may be subjected to revisions based on content goals, other proposals submitted on similar topics, and its alignment with overall educational needs of the association. The presenter will be contacted when appropriate for such changes.

The RMTAO reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals or topics submitted for review.

All webinars presented by the RMTAO become the property of the RMTAO for upto 3 months from the scheduled webinar date.

All RMTAO webinars are recorded. The RMTAO reserves the right to distribute the webinar recordings at any given time through purchase with access of upto 3 months from the scheduled webinar date.

The presenter also agrees that it is their responsibility to ensure that they meet all technical requirements required for presenting a webinar.
