When clients experience physical symptoms in their bodies, that cannot be medically explained – are they real? The mind and emotions are generally recognized as contributing factors to one’s physical health, and yet the vitality of the role between mind and body is often overlooked, minimized or misinterpreted. As practitioners, we ask ourselves - How do we treat symptoms in clients, that have no medical explanation?

In this seminar, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the powerful connection between mind and body by exploring the following:

Understanding Body Memory and Emotions:
• Brief overview of body memory and how emotions are stored
• Looking at proprioception, nociception and touch as the three body senses
associated with body memory

Using the Art of Inquiry When There Is an Unexpected Emotional Release:
• Brief description of ‘inquiry’
• Asking inviting, pondering, wondering questions
• Holding space for the unfolding of understanding
• Letting go of your need to understand
• Normalizing the experience and the wisdom of the body

Expanding Your Comfort Zone with Unexpected Emotional Release:
• Brief talk about bringing the analytical understanding and the art of inquiry together

Summary:
• Pulling it all together
