The intake process for clients affected by cancer requires in-depth information on the cancer treatments they are receiving and how it is impacting their overall health and, specifically, their soft tissues. A solid intake is essential for building a strong therapeutic relationship as we as the foundation for safe and effective treatment. With the increase in cancer rates and survivorship, all massage therapists will have clients affected by cancer.

• Using an oncology massage intake form to ensure that all necessary information is collected prior to beginning treatment
• Increased knowledge of biomedical cancer treatments and their impact on massage
