This 90-minute class will cover the long-recognized, but poorly understood phenomenon of PAISs: post-acute infection syndromes. We will discuss the two main players in this group, ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome) and long COVID, and we will take a short look at several other examples, including chronic Lyme disease, post-flu, and post-polio syndrome.

Our emphasis will be on what we currently understand about these mysterious conditions, what options are available to people who live with them, and where massage therapy might best fit.
